Oxford is a Census Designated Place within Oxford Township, Warren County, New Jersey. Oxford is home to the Oxford Furnace, built in 1744 and used for smelting iron. It was the third furnace built in colonial New Jersey -- the other two were located in south Jersey and extracted iron from bog iron ore.
