In fact I first tried
Persepolis, and it should be ok, except for the scan has a big white area at the top which makes everything much smaller as it should (is a cbr of course). I'm looking around my paper comics and in fact most of them are similar size as
Maus, roughly "book size".
Maus being one of the smallest, you're right.
I have to say that made some tests with the cbz -> pdf conversion tool I mentioned before, and I think I will convert some things, say...

Nevertheless, I think the iLiad is a bit limited in this sense. Not everything was going to be perfect!

We'll have to wait for some years... or get a second hand old tablet pc just to read comics in full size/color
