If it bothers me enough:
  • export to text
  • import into word
  • Clean up any egregious issue, too many CrLfs, etc, with broad strokes
  • apply simple formatting
  • bring into Calibre, convert to epub, mobi, whatever

That usually brings it into MRC (Minimal Reading Compliance), at least for me. But on the other hand, I'm not usually really picky about small errors. The converting to text gets rid of most of nasty formatting, and the rest (too many CrLf, etc) can be cleaned up with Word S&R. If I did it often enuf, I'd create some macros for that).

I am very picky about many, many things, just not this.
