Setup is simple — simply hold an iPhone next to the HomePod, similar to setting up a pair of AirPods. (HomePod is compatible with the iPhone 5S and up.)
So I gotta buy an iPhone in order to set up my shiny new very expensive HomePod? Not only does Apple have a garden, but it's got very HIGH walls around it.
