You can put the books on the device into collections. If you have a lot of books on the device, this can take a while.

The usual recommendation is too use calibre to manage your books. This can put the books into collections on the device based on the metadata in the library.

There is also the autoshelf patch. This will build the collections based on the directory structure you put the books in on the device. It is available in the developers subforum.
