Exactly what are you doing and why? Once you have done the match and save, it should be still matched when you next connect. And any book sent, should match again. If you use "save to disc" to put the book on the device, it is more likely the match will need to be used later.

Also, one of the main reasons for books not automatically matching is multiple authors. The way calibre populates the metadata for multiple authors is not how the Kobo devices read them. Using the author sort or title sort in a metadata plugboard, can also reduce the likelihood of a match.
