Atom_, thanks for the info again. wallcraft, thanks for linking to those posts! They answer my questions exactly. _Ea_, I have the Tintin and the Asterix collection and they aren't really readable on the iLiad but I guess one can't have everything. BTW, I read without the cover at home as well because using the cover does make it a little uncomfortable to hold.

I am wondering what people's experiences with traveling with the iLiad via air? I am recently going on a long 16 hour flight to Asia. Is the iLiad treated like a laptop and taken out of the bag (which I feel is risky given how fragile the screen is) or is it ok to leave it in the bag like your smartphone? I guess that answer will change depending on whether you are flying out of the US (like me) or Europe/Australia but I would appreciate any tips.

Oh, one more thing. Is it safe to try all these package installations from a USB flash drive instead of a CF card? I ask because I will only get my CF card in a week or so and I am itching to try out the all-in-one iPDF viewer with my technical articles. However, I want to make sure that it is likely to work even with a USB drive. I have an old iPod Shuffle that i use as a flash drive. I am guessing I will have to reformat it as FAT32?
