I don't think a plugin exists to do it.

The Goodreads Sync plugin does something like this for the Goodreads identifier. It will search Goodreads and show all the editions. You can then select the edition that matches the one you have and the identifier will be updated. It should be possible to create a plugin that does something similar for Amazon.
