You didn't mention which model you use, I just saw it under your username. I suggest, next time you should put the model in the title name, because ...
the way you described worked up until to the Pocketbook Touch Lux3.
But on the latest model, the Pocketbook Touch HD, things are different. The HD stores the notes differently, in one big db-file. Right now, it is not possible to extract this notes in any form. So when I saw your post, at first I thought you use the HD.
Several people (including me) already wrote to the support. At first, they said that everything is like you described, but then, after some more contact, the tech support realised, that something has changed.
They said, they are working on an extractor that will come with a future firmware. They even said it will be firmware version 5.18. Right now we are on 5.16
I just wanted to add this, for anyone who is also interested in exporting the notes.
