It's behind a login so unfortunately you can't check the website.
But if I understand you right the problem is on the server side.
The server from my newspaper probably doesn't has the right setup to send the correct MIME types?
I will ask them to take a look at it.
I've got a paid subscription so I hope they want to make the necessary adjustments on their side.
