i keep reading all this interesting stuff.. And then I realized I never even introduced myself, nor wrote a post. So finally!
I'm from the Netherlands and last april I bought this spectacular strange device on the fleemarket, the Entourage Edge. I had no need for it, but the owners practically gave it to me. The temptation was too much when they told me it was an e-reader combined with a tablet. Now I try to hack it somehow in order to type on the e-ink side of it, but really I am not that much of a hacker, more a Jane Austen reader actually. Her books are on all my devices of course!
The biggest reason why I have ereaders is that it is easier for my eyes to read from e-ink then from a monitor.
