That's so disappointing, especially when you are really looking forward to it. Sometimes I buy the last book in a series but then I don't read it because I'm afraid it won't live up to the rest.

I recently read Into the Fire, the last book in Jeaniene Frost's Night Prince series and I was pretty disappointed in it. I should have expected it because the series had been getting more and more violent. The last book was mainly action and blood, not very much romance. At least most of the loose ends were tied up.
