No problem here adding that title to calibre (on a tired old 32bit Windows Vista machine)--DRMed or otherwise.

@Krazykiwi is probably correct: the location of your file may be too deep inside a directory structure to begin with.

A Kindlebook's metadata is not encrypted, by the way. That may be neither here nor there, but I just wanted you to understand that it's not DRM that prevents you from editing a Kindlebook's internal title.
