Someone, older than me, years ago, told me that the best way to find out (he may have said quickly) what a book is all about is to scan (with the eyes) the table of contents. I've found that to be wise. I scanned the TOC of this book and the book seems pretty intriguing.

I used to be very politically active, but haven't had much interest in it since around the time that I got my B.S. (it wasn't in political science); for me to be interested in a political book now is super rare. But, scanning the TOC, I feel that I would really like to read this one. Maybe it's partly because of my love of history, and how the subjects of history and politics seem to intersect in this tome.
