From a previous job:
In a power cut: "My computer won't turn on! Why won't my computer turn on?"
A different person came up to the IT dept and asked us when the lifts would be working. When we shrugged and said we had no idea, they berated us, as because lifts have computers in them, they are obviously an IT issue.
In both cases, the people were being serious...
