If your Kindle doesn't already have the dictionary you need, you may be able to download it again or find a different one by going to Amazon.com...
Sign in to your account, go to "Manage Your Content and Devices", highlight the "Your Content" tab, then use the dropdown in the upper left and change it to "Dictionaries & User Guides" ... scroll down and the whole list of dictionaries will be there...
Make sure your device is registered with Amazon... check the box to the far left of the dictionary you want, then hit the box just to the right... it will offer "Deliver To" and you can specify which registered device is to receive the item.
These work on my Kindles just fine... and they are normally offline in Airplane Mode
