Font and heading formats

I haven't had much experience with e-pub, so would like your thoughts on fonts and heading ideas. Here are 3 questions for starters.
  1. What do you think of serif versus sanserif in technical books? Im thinking of using Georgia.
  2. Whats a good font size for body text in E-books. Im thinking, font-size: 1.2em
  3. Are colored fonts OK for headings? For example,
    h1 {font-size:2em; font-weight:bold; font-family: georgia, "times new roman", times, serif; color:#096; }
