I love Ricky's posts for their sheer directness: she says what she thinks and takes no prisoners. But... might we not cut a bit of slack for newer members who are not so familiar with the way the technology works?

We all have a tendency to be fonder of some devices than others (--usually the ones that we own). It's fortunate that there is a choice. I'm in the UK and only wish that I had more of a choice. I might even have chosen the Kindle, had it been available here. Or maybe not. As it is, I'm never going to be able to choose the Kindle I.
So you Americans are to be envied. You have a much wider choice than the rest of us.
