How do I 'clear the search'? I know it's a dumb question, but please bear with me.

I'm as sure as I can be that I have not installed the View manager plugin, but I'll make sure.

I'm as sure as I can be that I've never been near the Preferences->Behaviour->Virtual library, but I'll check that also.
