I've probably got enough old bits around I can get a working computer out of but then you bump into the next hurdle, needing to buy winblows which completely blows the pension budget!
I've done some searching and it looks like I can, with a lot of hoop jumping, get it to work on a
linux install. However at this point it's probably just simpler to add an account to my PC and only use it for the that purpose.
I did some digging into the library part too and visiting the library isn't even needed. However she'll probably end up there anyway, she can test the staffs patience instead of mine!
Although I think she's won that battle, now I just do things for her instead of trying to teach her. :-(
I suspect I'll be seeing her as often as books expire or get read, but that's okay.
It's still rather irritating that it's easier to avoid the DRM. In the amount of time I've put into this I could have got more books than she could read onto it. :-/
