i filled my original Kobo Aura 6 " internal memory up first leaving about 150mb and then i started using the external SD card slot, it's nice to have the option to use both.

i could have left the internal storage almost empty and just used the external SD card slot for all my books if i wanted to, that's why i think it's an extremely useful feature to have.
