If you want to be sure to register it and not to update it, it could be an idea to saturate the bandwidth of the connection i.e. downloading some files while registering the kindle. However, if we talk about gigabit connections it might be difficult to saturate the bandwidth, and in this case the alternative is to stay far as much as possible from the WiFi source in different terms at the margin of the WiFi area.
