So why wipe something you just went to a lot of trouble to install, only to have to re-install stuff?

Get the registration state set to suit your needs, then do the jailbreak procedure followed by leaving the registration state alone.

I am not sure to fully understand the part in bold.

In case I have not been clear in my previous posts of today, please let me remark that I am talking about a new kindle so never registered.

I just hope that the registration will be completed in less time than the update of the firmware, I have a little of fear that somenthing may go wrong....
