Completely normal and well documented over the years.
Changing registration state also wipes the product keys (those part of the "hotfix" not the jb key).
Re-start (re-boot) automatically runs the 'survival code' to auto-reinstall them.
You should have had an on-screen message, but you might not have been watching for it.
