The Egyptian, by Mika Waltari, a huge book, set in the Akehnaten era. Originally written in Finnish. The English translation is somewhat shortened but still large. Was a best seller in both languages.
Death Comes as the End, Agatha Christie. Set in Thebes in about 2000 BC.
