Hi Valladao,

I don't know your situation. But I am using a Kindle Voyage (bought in 2015). I hadn't known any jailbreak stuffs till couple months ago. I firstly downgraded my kindle to 5.6.0 (from somewhere 5.7.X, 3 months ago). The only reason that I wanted to downgrade is to be able to use the command: ~ds, in order to keep my screen not shutting down automatically. I just started jailbreaking it 2 weeks ago. Everything was totally good. I could use Koreader. However I upgraded my firmware to the newest 5.8.9 two days ago (because I didn't read and acknowledge any warning in this forum). After that, KUAL and Koreader still work. However, there is some inconvenience, files cannot be opened by Koreader on default. I have to firstly open Kual, then open Koreader, then open files I want. Other than that, of couse, I cannot downgrade my firmware anymore. The most important thing that I need now is to keep my screen not shutting down after 10 minutes (because I am reading lots of academic documents, which I not only need to read but also require time to think of). This vital thing disapears now on 5.8.9 (~ds not working). There is some interesting thing, which I have noticed, that is, if I deregister my kindle now (sign out my Amazon account on my kindle) then I will receive a message from Amazon saying that I am not an unauthorized developer, and then, simultaneously, I also cannot proceed Kual (thus Koreader) anymore. However, if I reset (i.e. restart, do not mean reset to the factory) my Kindle, then Kual and Koreader work again.////////////Can anybody know any method to keep my kindle awake even if I don't touch the screen for more than 10 minutes? Thanks.
