It's a little premature, but I don't think things will change over the weekend, so I'll do my end-of-month check-in.
I bought only one book in April, for $1.25. On a terrific sale and the kind of thing I like. But. It wasn't a wishlist item and I doubt I'll read it this year, so I should have given it a miss.
Still, all my mistakes should be so nugatory! A third of the way into the year and I've spent $9.75 on eight books. I'd have spent more buying two Unicorn Frappucinos.

At this point last year, I'd spent $58 on 21 books. My TBR is down a paltry eight books; I'd like to think I'll start to do better on that front.
