It's not a nuisance, it's more that it takes space that could be used for other information (like the seconds counter, etc.). I may be able to make the width a bit wider too, to make it fit better.

For the patching part, a script may be OK, but I haven't reviewed the flashing script enough to see what it is up to, and I imagine most systems that would go about using the patch won't have GNU Patch or similar to patch the file directly. I think it would work best in that program that takes a ton of hacks and lets you glue them together, but I've barely used it.

I think it may be very useful to just list off: 'go to line 300, paste this code', etc. There's only 4 blocks of code to put in place for it to work.. Unfortunately, if you were to paste wrong, it'll brick the PRS and you have to do the painful reflash from Sony's original firmware to get it back again. When I first posted this, I hoped someone with some experience in sending hacks out in PRS Customizer or in the hack tool would pipe up :P
