It is true that 'Time left to read' is not as valuable as the others and maybe it could be hidden, although it is a interesenting data to have. An idea would be that when you turn on (coming from sleep) or when you open a book, first show that data based on average time-left, and when you press 'next-page' for first time then show normal view.
Certainly, I dont really know if I would prefer to hidden it. If it is not a nuisanse, it would be nice to have it.
About the install, although complex, an idea would be to modify the existing file and not to replace it, maybe with a script.
