We have lots of communication. Living without any hints makes it very easy, because it allows us to just ask "What do you think/want?" and get a no fuss, no frills answer.
With regard to bedroom behavior... I'll just keep that private, but I don't think my mom realizes that stuff like that changes as well through the decades
