I vote: No Difference -
a system reboot is a system reboot, regardless of cause.

It is true that your desktop may have two types of reboot (warm and cold) but that is a function of your BIOS - Kindles (and embedded systems in general) do not have a BIOS.

You have kTerm installed?
Issue:
shutdown -r now
same, same, as all the other choices.
