If someone is scheduled to get off at 4, do not tell them at 3:55 they now have to stay and close at hopefully 730.. Been at work since 8 and no lunch. (Lunch is not the big issue but still.)
Did you ever stop to consider maybe his wife had something special planned for dinner since she actually knew what time he would get off work? Since she sure can't do anything that can't be held when he closes since he might get out anywhere from 7:30 to 9.
At least give an hour's notice.
