I used to count my TBR as those books marked as unread in Calibre. But I acquired a lot of books that I may never read, mostly through anthologies or collected works, e.g. I downloaded the set of Edgar Rice Burroughs' Barsoom books and having read the first it's unlikely I'll bother to read the rest.

So then I created a Calibre tag "real_tbr" but I didn't maintain it. Plus there's wishlists and I keep buying new books. And re-reads.

These days I've pretty much thrown out the idea of TBR. I feel a lot more relaxed.
