Fedex Ground is a waste of the shipping cost. Fedex is different from UPS and the USPS in that Ground is the second tier service. Fedex has a second set of delivery trucks for Fedex Ground. UPS uses the same truck whether the package is shipped Air or Ground. Ditto for the Post Office.

At UPS, a Ground customer is handled by the same customer service rep as any other shipping method. At Fedex, they have an entirely separate department for Ground. A request for a returned call will be ignored for 4 or 5 days.


USPS Priority Mail usually costs only a little more and arrives much faster. I keep telling and telling people to stop using Fedex Ground. NO ONE LISTENS!
