KOA WIFI here, initially succeeded all the way through step#0 to #8, had a working jb/hotfix/KUAL/screensaver running 5.8.7
Then I downloaded 5.8.9 from amazon and manually updated, the jb did NOT survive.
attempted hotfix again, got error message about invalid update or something.
did device reset.
Now I'm stuck with a 5.8.9 device, attempted factory image (step#4), the file just disappears from kindle.
Am I permanently screwed up?
