That is the same equipment description as the one person who did report the information.
And actually, your Kindle should be able to use either the 3G or the 2G cell access points.
I suspect that this AT&T configuration is a (relatively) new one.
Which means it may not have support for the M-M AT&T service provided by the Amazon (AT&T) account.
Or it just does not accept the same certificate(s) that the older configuration uses.
We could probable do some more information discovery, but in the end, it is Amazon that will have to make the changes in their AT&T account.
I suggest that you contact customer service and escalate your report up the food chain until you reach someone high enough to deal with Amazon-AT&T contract problems.
