@michel-rus - the notes at the end of the ePub are known as endnotes

I don't think Calibre has the ability to relocate endnotes to the pages on which they are referenced and thus make them footnotes. MS Word can do it if the linkages are set up properly, so if you have access to MS Word try converting the ePub to DOCX and go from there.
