I'm wondering why Malwarebytes identified it specifically as a "Malware.Ransom.Agent.Generic" threat.

BTW, this isn't the first time Malwarebytes has falsely identified a program as a Malware.Ransom.Agent.Generic threat. (See https://forums.malwarebytes.com/topi...alse-positive/)
