Now you've found out my ignorance. I can't find %AppData%\Calibre under Users.
I can find AppData\Local\calibre-cache and AppData\Roaming\calibre but the %AppData%\Calibre is a bit above my skill level.

CANCEL ALL THAT ...

I did what you suggested (once I worked it all out) and voila ... I have everything back! Many thanks indeed ...
