What Kindle model are you writing about?

Does it work normally when it does have power?
Such as when you leave it connected to a charger.

If it does, use the dump messages command to dump the system messages and look for anything that might explain what is happening.
You do that by enterying into the main page's search function:
;dm
which will create 4 new documents (the logs) for you to look at.
You can read them on the Kindle, but the lines are fairly long, so it is easier to read them on your PC where you have more screen.

"Battery discharging fast" is all relative to what is going on inside.

I.E: If the Kindle never reaches a suspend state ("goes to sleep") a fully charged battery only has about 3 to 4 hours of runtime.

Perhaps I missed it, but I don't see where you ever posted **how long** it takes to go from full charge to the recharge screen after the cleaning.
