When my father retired from the UASF in 1972 we moved to South Georgia (Moody AFB) and you could only get two channels (CBS & NBC). A couple of years later and if you put up a UHF antenna you could get a third channel (ABC).
And I remember them shutting off after around 2 AM. Oh how the world has changed in just a few short years.
