I use a SmartThings hub from Samsung (there are others, but that's the one I use) and ten (and increasing) GE Link light bulbs, and one GE Z-wave light switch.
I can set up zones, and groups and schedules in the hub or sometimes in the Alexa app, for instance my front porch light and my dining room lights come on 15 minutes before sunset and go off 4 hours after sunset.
There are lights available that work directly with Alexa without a hub, but they are generally more expensive, and after a few the cost of the hub is amortized.
