OK, I probably misread your post.
So you have our signature certificate installed and the little files that auto-reinstalls it after each update.
That is a good stopping point, you haven't added anything that would interfere with anything you decide to do in the future.
Since you mostly use your Kindle to read things, you might what to add KOreader someday.
Then you wouldn't be stuck with "Amazon format" things to read.
And if you also add KPVbooklet, that will automate the book opening -
Just tap on a book or document, KPVbooklet will open the desired reader (stock or KOreader or HackedupReader).
That would probably be the most you would actually use.
Unless you want the current knitting pattern as the screensaver.
