Agreed. Capacitive screens are fine for things like highlighting and annotating text, but hopeless for sustained handwriting. You really need a device with something like a Wacom digitiser. If your budget doesn't stretch to that, I'd stick to typing notes, not writing them with a stylus. Even cheap tablets are fine for typing on.
