I know it is not Dresden, but I still will leave my opinion on
Bound. I will leave out all spoilers of course.
First of all, it is too short...

I read it easily in a day so either I read too fast or it was too short. That being said, it was a good read. The writing style of Benedict Jacka is very easy.
We ended the last book with Alex and Anne in a situation where Alex never wanted to be again (and we all knew he would again) and this book handles the fall-out of that situation. The game has changed and they all know it. All 'big' characters again play a role, although some of them small.
This book really feels like a setup to the bigger story. Although there are some small resolutions to smaller issues, most are not answered at all yet, but the game is getting bigger. There are quite some references to past stories where certain events are now mentioned in a different light. At least, in most cases I did not 'see' it that way. It is interesting however and I wonder how much Jacka knew beforehand.
Poor Anne. I will leave it at that for the moment...
One big question that is lingering in this book, and was referenced already in earlier books, it the magic type of Richard Drakh. It is apparently something important that everyone wants to know. I feel that it is either a red herring or it is something important and Jacka wants to ensure no one misses it. The question is not answered though, but some suggestions are made. I have my opinion of course, especially when we see Richard in action (yes, we see him in action).
Safe to say that after the shake up to the status quo at the end of the last book, there are some big shake ups this book as well. Now, the long wait can begin... Although, it seems that Jacka is already halfway in the next book (can you take that hint Jim?).
