I did try running the same report with the Kobo connected and this is what I got:
Yup, that's right, all I got was a spinning beachball. And when I tried to disable the other Kobo plugins, calibre wouldn't let me.
I'll try again later today - we're going out to an event shortly (as soon as himself gets back from town).
