Admittedly I did not pay much of any attention to the battery specifics when I bought it. When amazon measured battery in weeks I interpreted it as crappy "marketing speak" and just figured it'd last for my intended purposes before being near a charger again. Not a deal-breaker to me anyway. If I go on a long trip in the woods at least I'll have the Paperwhite as a backup.
