Edit: In the second set of photos you added it might be okay, it is just hard to tell how large the font size is without seeing the whole screen in the photo. If that is a very small font size with a high sharpness setting then it is probably okay. It is really the second photo of the first set that looks strange.

I've attached screenshots from my Glo for comparison, this is in the ePub reader with weight/sharpness at the default settings. (see word 'just' at bottom right.)
It doesn't matter for size of font.
I tried big font, just "j" was not applied anti-aliasing.
