Both the Kindle and the Kobo is set at higher values than I would normally read in, just to pronounce the difference. They are both at about 75%.

However, I find when using the Kobo I can have a stronger light active without issues, wheres with the Kindle I have to sacrifice text/background contrast with less brightness in order to calm my eyes. And even then it still heavy in the blue department, and simply not very jovial to use. A predated electronical device where the Kobo appears more like a tasteful and contemporary reading device
