Thanks for the support and suggestions. I ended up buying Not Quite a Husband by Sherry Thomas at the Kinokuniya in Dubai. Then I didn't read at all on the plane

I listened to the Freakonomics podcast which was on the in-flight entertainment system and tried to sleep.
